Welcome to our Digital Church Resources page. Here, you can find a number of links to different Biblical resources online, as well as links to many popular Ecumenical and Interfaith Groups. While we hope that ValpoChurches.org will help you to connect with a congregation or with community outreach in Valparaiso and Porter County, Indiana, these resources can be used by anyone, anywhere to connect more with their faith and with a greater mission outreach.

Free For Churches (www.freeforchurches.com) – Directory of software and tools that are available at no cost to churches and nonprofits. Categories include: Audio & Music; Bible Studies; Children; Drama Scripts; Miscellaneous; Software; Teaching; Visual Media; Website Tools; Youth.

Agnus Day (http://www.agnusday.org/) – Agnus Day is the only lectionary-based comic strip on the planet!
Two sheep discuss one of the assigned readings from the Common Lectionary each week. Their conversation drives at a point and sometimes sparks a laugh. Agnus Day is the creation of Pastor James Wetzstein, a Lutheran pastor and Associate Pastor of Valparaiso University’s Chapel of the Ressurection.

e-Sword (www.e-sword.net) - e-Sword is a fast and effective way to study the Bible. e-Sword is feature rich and user friendly with more capabilities than you would expect in a free software package. The fact that e-Sword is free is just one of the blessings and does not speak of the quality of the software.

Olive Tree Bible Software (www.olivetree.com) – The preeminent free Bible software for Palm OS devices. Olive Tree Bible Software provides Bible versions and study tools for Palm OS, Pocket PC, Smartphone and Symbian cell phones, and BlackBerry devices and coming cell phone support for most cell phones sold today. Choose from over 80 electronic translations of the Bible as well as commentaries, dictionaries, devotionals, eBooks, and Strong’s numbering system. The Bible is offered in various languages, including German, French, Spanish, Chinese and many others. Original Hebrew and Greek texts are also available.

NET Bible (www.bible.org/page.asp?page_id=3086) – A free modern translation of the Bible. The New English Translation is available for free use at www.bible.org, and it can also be downloaded and distributed free of charge. Print your own copies of the Bible – up to 1000 with no additional permissions needed.

Bible Gateway (www.biblegateway.com) - The Bible Gateway is a tool for reading and researching scripture online – all in the language or translation of your choice! It provides advanced searching capabilities, which allow readers to find and compare particular passages in scripture based on keywords, phrases, or scripture reference.

Holy Bible Trivia (http://www.holybibletrivia.org/) - Holy Bible Trivia hopes to encourage bible study for the whole family, including children, kids, teens, youths, to adults. Bible Trivia questions and answers range from simple, easy and basic to difficult and hard. Create an account for free to track scores, select question topics, set question difficulty levels, and have access to the complete list of trivia questions. Submit your own bible trivia questions and see the percentage of correct answers. Your comments will help develop fun new bible question based games, puzzles, and quizzes!

American Bible Society (http://www.bibles.com) From the American Bible Society’s founding in 1816, it has been focused on translation, publication and the distribution of Bibles to as many people as possible. The ABS mission today is to make the Bible available to every person in a language and format each can understand and afford, so all people may experience its life-changing message.

CCLI Music Licensing (www.ccli.com) - CCLI exists to help individuals, churches, and organizations in the area of worship by offering information, services, and products, particularly related to worship music selection and licensing. They have recently added video resources.

PastorCare (http://www.pastorcare.org/) - PastorCare is a grassroots network of individuals who share a common heart for helping hurting pastors and their families.

Associated Church Press ( http://www.theacp.org/) - An international community of communication professionals brought together by faithfulness to their craft and by a common task of reflecting, describing, and supporting the life of faith and the Christian community.

Church World Service (http://www.churchworldservice.org/) - Church World Service is the relief, development, and refugee assistance ministry of 35 Protestant, Orthodox, and Anglican denominations in the United States. Working in partnership with indigenous organizations in more than 80 countries, CWS works worldwide to meet human needs and foster self-reliance for all whose way is hard. Within the US, CWS assists communities in responding to disasters, resettles refugees, promotes fair national and international policies, provides educational resources, and offers opportunities to join a people-to-people network of local and global caring through participation in CROP Hunger Walks , the Tools & Blankets Program, and the CWS Kits Program.

Graymoor Ecumenical and Interreligious Institute (http://www.geii.org/) - A ministry of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, the Mission of Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute is to promote Christian unity and interreligious dialogue in North America.

Religion Communicators Council (http://www.religioncommunicators.org/) - The Religion Communicators Council is an interfaith association of more than 600 religion communicators working in print and electronic communication, marketing and public relations.

Religion News Service (http://www.religionnews.com/) - Based in Washington, D.C., RNS has a network of correspondents around the world, providing news and information on all faiths and religious movements to the nation’s leading newspapers, news magazines, broadcast organizations and religious publications.

Religions for Peace - USA (http://www.rfpusa.org/) - Religions for Peace - USA gathers representatives of religious communities in the U.S.; promotes multi-religious cooperation for peace and justice; builds on the spiritual, human, and institutional resources of its communities; enhances mutual understanding; and acts for the common good. 

Souper Bowl of Caring (http://www.souperbowl.org/)- Utilizes Super Bowl weekend to mobilize youth to fight hunger and poverty in their local communities.

World Council of Churches (http://www.oikoumene.org/)- The World Council of Churches (WCC) is the broadest and most inclusive among the many organized expressions of the modern ecumenical movement, a movement whose goal is Christian unity. For its member churches, the WCC is a unique space: one in which they can reflect, speak, act, worship and work together, challenge and support each other, share and debate with each other.
